Dead voters (part 2)

The number of Americans aged 100 and over is 72,197.
According to the CDC, there are 72,197 people aged over 100 in America.

Guess how many of them live in Detroit?

14,500 ... apparently, according to the voter rolls!

The following spreadsheet contains the details of 14,500 registered voters from Detroit, all of whom are over the age of 100.

You can verify this for yourself at the Michigan Voter Information Center website. Choose a name at random from the spreadsheet, then enter the details on the website to confirm they are a registered voter.

Taking it one step further, there are only 10 people in America older than 113, i.e. born before November 7, 1907.

Of those 10 people, guess how many of them live in Detroit?

900 of them, apparently!

You can verify this for yourself simply by sorting the above spreadsheet by date of birth.
